For all intents and purposes, Usama Siddiquee is having himself one hell of a renaissance. Of course, it comes after years on the grind, but in 2027, he will be returning to a Boston crowd bigger than ever.
As announced earlier this week, the longtime stand-up is making his way back to Boston next spring for his Wilbur debut on April 9. If you’re privy to the ongoing cavalcade of Netflix comedy offerings, you may have most recently seen the New York-based comic as a focus of Kevin Hart’s new Funny AF series, or perhaps on stages all over the country on any given weekend delivering his largely autobiographical comedy as he did for Don’t Tell Comedy in 2025. However, let the record show that we here at Vanyaland have been on the Siddiquee train for quite awhile, so we know what he’s capable of, and we’re excited to see how he delivers on one of the biggest stages of his career.
As well, Robyn Schall is giving The Wilbur a much-appreciated matinee performance on August 23, while Drew & Deison Afualo, the duo behind the hit Two Idiot Girls podcast, get goofy in Boston on November 14.
Things are heating up in Somerville, with Crystal Ballroom serving as the meeting spot for Australian comedy standout Luke Kidgell, as he brings his Live in the USA tour to Davis Square on October 27. Meanwhile, FunkyFrogBait — the viral moniker of Kal McRaven — is coming to a live setting for one night at The Armory on August 27 as part of their upcoming Internet Kid tour.
