Color us plum astonished that Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius, Wee Man and company had, much like Vince Carter, one more in them. jackass forever felt like the perfect conclusion to the gang’s hijinks — coming shortly after the original series got old enough to drink — but hey, you don’t make a mint post-COVID and refuse a sequel when Paramount and company ask. Hence: jackass: best and last, coming to a theater near you this summer. There are, in truth, few things better than watching these dudes do dumb shit, to the point that we, like many other pretentious losers who feel insecure about just enjoying something, would dub it “performance art.”

Paramount dropped the trailer for jackass: best and last on Monday, while we were recovering from a rocket-propelled lawnmower stunt that sent one of our interns to the hospital. So, blame Timmy* for the very brief delay in our coverage. Somehow, we were able to get this typed up with only one finger between all of us, so be proud of our dedication while you watch this one.

Peep it:

For whatever reason, here’s a surprisingly in-depth synopsis for jackass: best and last:

Featuring all-new stunts and stupidity along with the greatest hits and biggest laughs from the past, ‘jackass: best and last’ is a joyously raucous celebration of all the mischievous camaraderie that you’ve come to love and expect from these idiots over the past 25 years. So, grab your dumb little buddies, raise your glasses, and come experience the cinematic event that promises to be the last time you’ll ever laugh this hard in a theatre.”

*Don’t blame Timmy. He doesn’t exist.
