It’s one thing if you’re considered to be one of the best comedians in the game. But to be also considered a critically-acclaimed “man’s best friend” in comedy? Well, that puts Dan Soder on a whole new level, as it should.
While earning the moniker of “The Golden Retriever of Comedy” from a random redditor based on his determined pursuit of a premise to add depth to his jokes, Soder will soon chase an almost fully sold-out doubleheader at Shubert Theatre on Friday (March 6) as part of the highly anticipated second leg of his wildly successful Golden Retriever of Comedy tour.
In addition to solidifying himself as the prime example of the type of friend you can get high with while waxing philosophical on random athletes and sports history as a result of his stand-up, Soder has also continued to climb the ranks with a handful of albums and specials, as well as his eponymous podcast, which has continued to garner the interest of big names in comedy, sports, and everywhere else on the entertainment spectrum.
While Bert Kreischer might try to take credit for claiming that Soder is about to “have a big moment,” the Colorado native has put the work in for years all over the map to be where he is now – and it’s surely not where he’s planning on stopping, either.
