Mic’d Up: Trevor Noah looks to keep it real in unreal times

Via Bill Blumenreich Presents

There’s no award for “Best stand-up act to sell out for nights in a row at a local theatre” yet, but if there was, there’s no doubt that Trevor Noah would be the most recent recipient.

Roughly 24 hours removed from his sixth time hosting the Grammys, the award-winning comedian and author is set to make his return to the area starting today (February 2) for a sold-out, four show run at Chevalier Theatre in Medford. In addition to his generational run as the host of the biggest night in music, the former Daily Show anchor has continued to bring his multi-cultural and deeply thoughtful brand of comedy to markets all over the world by way of a consistent touring schedule – which has made his visits to New England a near-annual event.

In addition to his most recent special with 2023’s Where Was I, Noah has also continued to bring his talents into different mediums, as he’s lent his voice to a number of television and film projects like the award-winning Storybots franchise, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and most recently, Jennifer Lopez’ This is Me…Now.

Media and entertainment standouts come and go with a quickness these days, but Noah only continues to show his relevancy and refresh his contributions to the mainstream in new ways every year. Not to mention, we’re sure he’ll have a lot to catch us up on when he rolls into town this week, so catch him in action if you can.
