Mic’d Up: Hot Dog! stands on glizness in Cambridge

Via Shaun Connolly

Hot diggity dog, is it cold outside. Good news for us, though, is that Shaun Connolly and Bryan O’Donnell are burrowing their way underground to have us rolling like a toasty gas station glizzy with a little midweek excitement.

Setting up shop once again at The Comedy Studio on Thursday (January 29), the dynamic duo makes their way back to Harvard Square for another edition of their cult classic comedy game show Hot Dog!, the stand-up show where the topic of a comic’s set is dictated exclusively by a Wheel of Fortune-type decision process that keeps everyone, especially the folks on stage, on their toes all night. While nobody truly knows where the night will go, we do know that there will laughs, and hot dogs, aplenty until the very last spin.

While the Costco $1.50 special is continuing to do the Lord’s work, it has nothing on the lore and excitement of this show, which continues to take care of business – or rather, glizness – with each new edition.

HOT DOG!: A COMEDY GAME SHOW :: Thursday, January 29 at The Comedy Studio, 5 John F. Kennedy St. in Cambridge, MA :: 8 p.m., $18.95 to $23.95 :: Advance tickets
