It’s like old saying goes: the journey to conquering the world goes through…Medford? Well, maybe that can become a new phrase, as Iliza Shlesinger is already on her way to world domination through comedy, and making sure to circle back to her roots by crushing another round of theater gigs this year.

As announced earlier this week, the Emerson alum and global comedy superstar will return to Medford’s Chevalier Theatre on November 15 as part of her upcoming tour. The announcement comes during a week that is quickly becoming all about her stand-up slaying, as her latest special – her seventh, if anyone is keeping track – A Different Animal premiered on Amazon Prime video to kick the week off. The upcoming run of dates may be a scale down from her event run of arena shows all over the world, but rest assured that her potent artistry is still very much at a maximum level.

Back within the confines of Boston proper, powerhouse multi-hyphenate Emmy nominated artist Kate Berlant is making her Wilbur debut on June 12, where she will bring all of the tools — sharp wit, brilliantly hard-hitting writing, and top-tier delivery – that have made her one of the most in-demand talents both on and off the comedy stage. Meanwhile, stand-up comic and top-line impressionist Matt Friend returns to The Wilbur on September 27 to deliver an all-new hour of comedy, following an impressive year in 2024 which saw him expand his audience by way of a number of festival appearances and red carpet interviews.

Tickets for these shows can be accessed now via venue presale by using the code VANYA. Public on-sale begins Friday (March 14) at 10 a.m. ET.
