Nah, it’s not those grandparents (RIP nanna and pappa!), but instead the genre-flipping Los Angeles trio that serves up a soulful groove in “The Dial.” The sun-kissed track hits the streams today (January 21) with news that the project — comprised of producer Cole Thompson and vocalists DaCosta and Jean Carter — has signed to art-forward culture label drink sum wtr, with more new music on the way this year. Says DaCosta: “Things will work out when they’re supposed to. The best way to get the most out of hard situations is to keep your head down and work with integrity.” We needed to hear that.
