It’s a pivotal day in our country’s history, and messages of hope and positivity are needed today (November 5) more than ever. Tunisian-born and New York-based artist, producer, and activist EMEL is no stranger to the task, and last week teamed up with Savages’ Jehnny Beth for a calm and confident whirlwind of a tune called “Fall In Light,” described as a welcome empowerment anthem for sisterhood and unity as the world around us becomes increasingly violent and intolerant. “I’m happy to share this song now, especially during these troubled weeks,” EMEL offers, “because it’s a song that’s ultimately about hope and strength, a song to create beauty from the most painful place, to create light from darkness, to build shelter from chaos, to bring faith in oneself so we can keep following our inner light, that one that’s just about truth and empathy.”
