Although his impressions of Dr. Phil and President Joe Biden have caught the algorithm by storm, the comedy genius of Adam Ray will be on full display with no makeup in sight this weekend, as he brings his ever-evolving freight train of energy and creativity to The Seaport.
Starting his four-show weekend run at Laugh Boston tonight (July 26), the Seattle native continues his long overdue ascent in the comedy realm, which has been highlighted by his undertaking of a fully unhinged and often times chaotic Dr. Phil alter ego as well as, more recently, one of President Joe Biden. Without the bald cap and spot-on southern drawl, though, Ray is still heralded as one of the best in the game right now, as his brand of storytelling and his unwavering ability to bring a room to the brink of eruption with every punchline powers every sold-out show he’s taken the stage for.
Although the true potency of his creative drive can be fully felt in a live setting, Ray’s creative force can be heard in his ongoing About Last Night podcast, as well as his latest special, Like & Subscribe, which premiered on YouTube last month.
ADAM RAY :: Friday, July 26 to Saturday, July 27 at Laugh Boston, 425 Summer St. in Boston, MA :: 6 and 9 p.m. both nights, $33 :: Advance tickets
