This Show Is Tonight: Gary Clark, Jr. tears it up on Lansdowne

We’re experiencing a whole lot of Gary Clark Jr. in 2024, and we are ready for it. The Austin blues guitarist and singer released new album JPEG RAW in March, following a four-song sampler platter that helped set the mood. Clark also performed live on NBC’s The Tonight Show around the album drop, and has spent the spring takes it around the United States in support of the record. Included in the itinerary are appearances at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, Radio City Music Hall, and Bonnaroo, and now comes a local stop tonight (June 7) at Boston’s MGM Music Hall at FenwayJPEG RAW is the awaited follow-up to 2019’s This Land, and it features collaborations with Stevie Wonder and George Clinton. In the time since his last record, Clark also played Arthur “Big Boy” Crudup in Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 biopic Elvis. Get a taste of all the action with “Maktub” below.
