Colin Quinn has never been one to mince words. After a few years of projects centered around bringing up tough questions, and offering up his own answers, he’s back again to remind us all that he isn’t going quietly into that good night.
As announced earlier this week, the stand-up bastion and Saturday Night Live legend will be making his way back to Boston for one night only at The Wilbur on March 3. Although he isn’t working with a particular theme or show title like he has in the past with Red State Blue State, or his book Overstated: A Coast-to-Coast Roast of the 50 States, it’s more than likely that some commentary on the current state of affairs will find its way into his new hour, in addition to his heavily biographical approach to the stage.
Also returning to The Wilbur is Aries Spears, who sets up shop for one show on May 11. While he continues to bring his contagious sense of personality and humor to crowds all over the country, the former MAD TV standout has also lent his knowledge and experiences to a number of comedy-centered documentaries Phat Tuesdays: The Era Of Hip Hop Comedy, Dave Foley’s Dark Side of Comedy, and See It Loud: The History of Black Television.
Additionally, Lewis Black has added a second date at The Wilbur as part of his Goodbye Yeller Brick Road farewell tour, with a new show on September 28.
Tickets for these shows can be accessed now via The Regulars presale before The Wilbur’s general presale can be accessed starting Thursday (January 11) at 10 a.m. ET by using the code VANYA. General on-sale starts at 10 a.m. ET on Friday (January 12).
