Like so many of your besties, Liz Phair’s classic debut album Exile In Guyville turned 30 back in June. And so a party in Brighton soon followed. The 18-track double album, “loosely framed as a song-by-song reply to The Rolling Stones’ Exile on Main St.,” according to Matador Records, gets the 30th anniversary tour treatment this month as Phair and her band hit the road for 18 dates, and the latest stop arrives tonight (November 21) at Roadrunner to find the iconic artist playing the album in full alongside other hits from her extensive catalog. To make things even sweeter, Phair has tapped Vanyaland fave Blondshell as support for all the show, making those Best of 2023 lists come together like magic by morning. Go right ahead and revisit the 2018 remaster of Exile In Guyville below, because no one really wants to be 29 forever.
