Magic City Hippies, Winter Tour, January 19
Back in the day it used to be that everyone in New England headed south for the winter, posting up in Florida where the weather stays warm and there’s no snow and ice to be found. Now the world is so turnt, we got Floridians rolling up to the Northeast in the dead of winter, and this includes Miami’s Magic City Hippies coming to town for a January 19 twirl at Boston’s Citizens House of Blues. And that’s just when we’ll need alt-pop psych-funk party starters the most. The Hippies are rolling across North America for 36 dates, kicking off a few days after Christmas and taking it to March, but the Lansdowne joint in the middle of the coldest month of the year is where to find the heat. Tickets go on sale Friday (September 29) at 10 a.m. local time.
