For far too long, it seems, news outlets have extensively covered just about every other aspect of Pete Davidson’s life except for his stand-up career. But lucky for us, he’s clearing his schedule for at least one night to show us just how strong his latest slate of material is.
As announced earlier this week, Davidson is only a few weeks out from bringing his brooding, angst-fueled comedy to The Wilbur for two shows on October 25. While his most recent visits to the city have been alongside his buddies John Mulaney and Jon Stewart, this upcoming late October fall fling will mark Davidson’s first solo trip to Boston in quite some time. In addition to his shifting his focus to his work on stage over the past few years, Davidson has also worked quite a bit in front of the camera with roles in movies like Bodies, Bodies, Bodies and Meet Cute, as well as television and streaming roles including The Now and Bupkis, which he also created, wrote and produced.
On November 29, Lawrence native Ziwe makes her way home to The Wilbur, as part of her The Black Friend tour. Whether it’s on stage or on your TV screen, the multi-talented comedian, writer and actress has amassed quite a following with her upfront and bluntly honest commentary on race and politics, and as a result of her two-season run as host of her eponymous late-variety sketch show, Ziwe and her YouTube series, Baited. In October, she will also release her first book, Black Friend: Essays.
Looking ahead to spring 2024, Drew Lynch is returning to Tremont Street on April 26. Wielding an ever-evolving penchant for deeply detailed and often deeply personal storytelling, Lynch makes his way back to the city following the release of his most strand-up special, Short King, which he released on YouTube earlier this year.
Presale tickets for these shows can be accessed via The Regulars presale now, and by using the Wilbur presale code VANYA starting at 10 a.m. ET Thursday (September 28), before tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday (September 29) 10 a.m. ET, with the exception of Lynch’s show, which goes on sale at noon ET.
