LEISURE fall into a chill summer groove on ‘Back In Love’

Via Nettwerk

From the local level on up, there have been more than a few bands out there over the years with the name LEISURE. But the New Zealand soul-electronic collective are making a fevered claim to the moniker, and doing it with a chill sound that belies the usual urgency of dominion. The Auckland crew is back today (August 14) with a blissed-out, height-of-summer melancholia groove called “Back In Love,” and it’s the latest off LEISURE’s forthcoming fourth album Leisurevision, due out in late September.

“’Back In Love’ actually came out of the trials and tribulations of navigating parenthood with your lover — you both put all your time and energy into this little human and it’s easy to neglect your relationship with each other,” the band says. “This song is about making time for each other again and reminding ourselves that no matter what life throws at us we’ll always find our way back to where we began.”

Someone us need to hear that right now.

After the album drop, LEISURE head to North American shores for an 11-date fall tour, and it swerves its way up to Cambridge for a November 14 seduction at The Sinclair. Get “Back In Love” via Spotify as you scan through all the dates below.
