With every release that comes from the ever-fruitful and creative mind of Chris Fleming, you never truly know what you’re going to get. Except, of course, an intense, burning passion for the stage, and with his latest offering, he’s sure to bring the heat again — but perhaps in a different way this time around.
As announced on Monday (July 24), Fleming will be bringing his beloved off-the-wall brand of comedy and music to Peacock with the premiere of his latest special, Hell, on August 18. Marking his first full-hour soirée outside of YouTube, and his first live-recorded release since 2018’s Showpig, the new batch of material brings Fleming’s multi-dimensional humor to the masses with the same mish-mash of stand-up, character work, sketch comedy and musical numbers he’s become known and loved for by his loyal following over the course of more than 15 years on the stand-up grind.
Exploring the unique hell that comes with dealing with performance anxiety through stand-up comedy, sketches, musical comedy, anecdotes about Phil Collins and so much more, Fleming takes to the stage at Dynasty Typewriter in Los Angeles to deliver, in his own beloved way, a depiction of an artist’s journey through the wild scenes of Hollywood, and the mystical nature that accompanies the rush and excitement of live theater.
