Kim Petras, Feed The Beast World Tour, October 7

There is just nothing Kim Petras can’t do. Way back in 2017 — yeah, ’17 — we first hyped the alt-pop superstar as part of out V:Music series, and we’ve followed her ascent ever since, from Halloween macabre pop to full-on global star. In advance of Friday’s release of Feed The Beast, her proper debut album, and appearing on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, Petras unveils her 34-date Feed The Beast World Tour, which crashes MGM Music Hall at Fenway on October 7. The album should help define the sound of the summer, as it includes her Sam Smith collab “Unholy” and “Alone,” her recent jam with Nicki Minaj, as well as Vanyaland faves like “brrr” and “Coconuts”. Feed that beast, and bow to a queen. Tickets go on sale Monday (June 26) at 10 a.m. local time.

John Oliver, John Oliver Live, August 27 and 28

Earlier this month we told you that John Oliver was coming to town, bringing his John Oliver Live tour to MGM Music Hall at Fenway on August 27. Now Oliver has added a second date, the following night, August 28. Here’s what we said about the first announcement: “The show(s) will close out a short tour for the Last Week Tonight host, and represents the first show Oliver has performed in Massachusetts since 2016, when he participated in the Oddball Comedy & Curiosity Festival at Mansfield’s Xfinity Center. In addition to his earlier work on Comedy Central’s The Daily Show and manning the helm of HBO’s Last Week Tonight since 2014, Oliver has also lent his talents and fairly iconic voice to on-screen projects, such as 2019’s The Lion King, and worked a short three-episode stint on the animated Netflix series Big Mouth in 2020.” Tickets go on sale Friday (June 23) at 10 a.m. local time.
