With the previously announced opening of Medford’s newest music venue Deep Cuts, the anticipation has only mounted ahead of its grand opening. Now, Jerrod Carmichael is adding to the hype with a last-minute trip into town.
As a late-week surprise announced today (May 19), the award-winning comedian, writer and actor will be bringing a new run of stand-up material, dubbed Sleepless Without My Boyfriend, to the brand spankin’ new Main Street space for two shows on Sunday (May 21). With a doubleheader 5 and 7:30 p.m. show offering, Carmichael will cap off an inaugural weekend lineup that also includes a Saturday triple-billed show featuring Zip Tie Handcuffs, Black Beach, and Today Junior.
Most recently, Carmichael served in the prestigious hosting spotlight of the 80th Golden Globe Awards in January, and in 2022, released his critically acclaimed third comedy special, Rothaniel, on HBO.
