The other day, Matty Healy of The 1975 went on a fun little rant about how no one at a Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds show wishes they were there instead of an Oasis gig, pleading the brothers to put aside their differences and reform the Britpop heavyweights. That’s not about to happen anytime soon, but Healy’s claim will be put to the test this summer, as Gallagher and his solo project has unveiled a co-headlining tour with Garbage.
The summer run features Metric on nearly all the dates, and kicks off June 2 in Auburn, Washington, and wraps July 15 at MGM Music Hall in Boston. Tickets for all the shows go on sale Friday (February 17) at 10 a.m. local time.
Though this tour is packed with ’90s nostalgia, Gallagher hits our shores with new music to show off. His new album Council Skies drops June 2 via Sour Mash, the exact day the Garbage tour gets rolling. Listen to lead single “Easy Now” for a taste. Garbage’s last studio album was 2021’s No Gods No Masters, and they released a greatest hits package titled Anthology last fall.
