Welp, we’re still a good month or so out from the wave of 2023 music festival lineup announcements, but Spain’s Primavera Sound has gotten an early jump on the action. And with a lineup like this, who can blame them? The upcoming fest takes place over two spring weekends in two city locations, with Primavera Sound Barcelona holding court May 31 to June 4, and the inaugural Primavera Sound Madrid going down June 7 to 11.
The lineup, unveiled today (November 29), is damn stacked, with headliners of a reunited Blur, Halsey, Kendrick Lamar, Depeche Mode, Pet Shop Boys, Rosalía, and Calvin Harris. The rest of the lineup is eight shades of dynamite as well, with Boston’s Come on a slate that also stars Ghost, Le Tigre, Turnstile, Yard Act, Fred Again.., Four Tet, Skrillex, The Mars Volta, Christine and the Queens, Bleachers, Alvvays, Japanese Breakfast, Nation of Language, fka Twigs, The War On Drugs, Death Grips, Holly Humberstone, Surf Curse, Swans, Arlo Parks, a reunited Moldy Peaches, and plenty more.
