A few weeks back we covered the lineup news for the inaugural Adjacent Fest, going down Memorial Day weekend in New Jersey’s Atlantic City. Based on its location and timing, its two headliners, blink-182 and Paramore, seemed prime for possible appearances at Boston Calling 2023. But then we remembered blink was playing TD Garden a week prior, so that didn’t work, leaving just Paramore in play.
Now Paramore has announced a 2023 North American tour in support of February album This Is Why, and there’s the obvious look of no Boston date on the itinerary. What’s left in the schedule, according to us and a fair amount of fans posting to the band’s socials, are two Boston Calling possibilities that seem pretty likely: Either Friday, May 26 or Sunday, May 28, around the band’s May 27 appearance at Adjacent Fest.
Catching Paramore at Boston Calling — like we did back in 2018 — would be pretty cool. But the lineups Hayley Williams and the boys are bringing along for their headlining tour is pretty great, too, as opening acts on the ’23 run include Bloc Party, Foals, The Linda Lindas, and Genesis Owusu.
We’ll probably know soon enough, and in the meantime, it’s fun to speculate. Get all the Paramore dates below, and note that after a series of pre-sales this week, tickets to Paramore’s headlining date go on sale Friday (November 11) at 10 a.m. local time via paramore.net.
