Fest Intentions: Adjacent Music Festival in Atlantic City, New Jersey

Life moves pretty fast: All your friends literally just returned home from When We Were Young in Las Vegas, and they all pretty much had the time of their lives (once the wind eased up). Paramore headlined that fest, and blink-182 are set to headline next year’s edition — but both are tapped to lead the brand new Adjacent Music Festival, going down “on the beach” across Memorial Day weekend, May 27 and 28, in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

And hey, the lineup under the headliners is pretty solid: Bleachers, Turnstile, Japanese Breakfast, Coheed and Cambria, IDLES, Mannequin Pussy, PUP, Jimmy Eat World, Motion City Soundtrack, Surf Curse, The Front Bottoms, Jeff Rosenstock, Wheatus, Phantom Planet, The Linda Lindas, and more.

And heyyyyyyyyyyy again, since Paramore will be in the Northeast for Memorial Day weekend, right after an April tour of the UK and Ireland, can we begin speculation on Boston Calling 2023? Can we do that? Is that allowed? That’s our early pick here, and only pick, since blink-182, for the record, already have a local show, and it’s May 21 at TD Garden.

Anyway, tickets for the inaugural Adjacent Music Festival go on sale this Thursday (oh shit they’re playing too!) at 10 a.m., and early bird passes start at $249. Watch this Adjacent Music Festival hype vid to get, well, hyped.
