Get TKO’d by the first ‘Creed III’ trailer

Creed

If your memory stretches back far enough to the halcyon days of 2018, you might remember that we weren’t the world’s biggest fans of Creed II, which we were unbelievably hyped for. Ryan Coogler’s first film is probably one of the great franchise films of the ’10s, up there with the likes of Mad Max: Fury Road and Blade Runner 2049, and despite Dolph being Dolph and Sly being Sly, well, there just wasn’t enough meat on the bone for us to sink our teeth into it. But Creed III looks like it’ll be a different story. Not only is it Michael B. Jordan’s directorial debut, but it’s got a great new antagonist, played by the incredible Jonathan Majors (there’s also the matter that it’s the first Rocky-related movie without any involvement from Stallone, but that might not be a terrible thing?), so we’re looking forward to it. And you should definitely look forward to this trailer you’re about to watch, because it kicks some ass.

Peep it:

Here’s a synopsis:

After dominating the boxing world, Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan) has been thriving in both his career and family life. When a childhood friend and former boxing prodigy, Damian (Jonathan Majors), resurfaces after serving a long sentence in prison, he is eager to prove that he deserves his shot in the ring. The face off between former friends is more than just a fight. To settle the score, Adonis must put his future on the line to battle Damian — a fighter who has nothing to lose.

Creed III will hit theaters everywhere on March 3, 2023. Let’s be real, we’re just kind of happy that they’re not giving us Son of Clubber Lang or whatever, as fun as that might be. You’d be a pitiable fool if you tried to do that, and Adonis Creed ain’t one.
