We last caught up with Ian James back in the early stages of 2021, when the Massachusetts musician was sitting back and watching the world go “Up In Flames”. After everything burned to the ground, James now has the apocalyptic soundtrack for the aftermath. His new instrumental guitar-pop track “This Is Where I Am,” out today (October 7) via Blue Fx Records, approaches a barren landscape of emptiness that elicits a particularly somber mood. Of course, James been plenty busy between then and now, releasing a string of singles and June album Peregrination, but here he captures an uneasy mood through a meditative and reflective tune that fit less for our daily playlists and more for a film or TV soundtrack. Or, we’ll let it provide sounds to our own travels as we figure out just what the hell is going on, everywhere and in everything.
