Editor’s Note: Welcome to our new series spotlighting the bands and artists playing this year’s NICE, a fest. Bad Idea USA

When and Where: Saturday, July 30 at 5 p.m. at The Rockwell.

Band Bio: Formed in Somerville, MA in 2017, Bad Idea USA combines ’90s melodic punk sensibilities with a healthy dose of cynicism and snarling attitude. Female-fronted power trio explores themes of love, anxiety, and trying to stay present in a world that is at war and on fire.

Fun Fact: “Bad Idea USA loves cats, and between the members we have three. Their names, are Ham, Olive, and Igby.”
