Every time a buzz-worthy band announces a forthcoming tour with inspired opening acts, we always wonder just how inundated local booking agents are by upcoming regional bands looking to get added to the bill as local support. We bring this up because TURNSTILE have announced a fall North American tour this afternoon (June 21), and we’re sure every band we know is currently trying to get added to the Boston show — a November 19 tour-closing romp at Roadrunner. That’s one hot ticket. Most of the shows on the “TURNSTILE LOVE CONNECTION TOUR” feature Snail Mail and JPEGMAFIA (there’s no JPEGMAFIA in Boston, unfortch), and you can get all the dates in both flyer and list form below.
The tour kicks off October 3 at Brooklyn Mirage in New York City, and hits 25 cities in all. The general on-sale for tickets starts Thursday (June 23) at 10 a.m. local time, and turnstilehardcore.com has additional information.
In the meantime, to celebrate the tour news, TURNSTILE have shared a new video for “NEW HEART DESIGN,” taken from the Baltimore band’s breakout GLOW ON album and shot on 16mm film during the first leg of “TURNSTILE LOVE CONNECTION TOUR.” So it’s a good indicator of what to expect later this year.
