Purity Ring shake free an extended haunting on the astral ‘Graves’

We’re still living deep inside the blooming grips of spring, but Purity Ring are here to deliver some autumnal beats and treats to our screens and stages. The Edmonton duo this week unveiled an astral new tune called “Graves,” and it’s the title track to a new EP out June 3 via their own label The Fellowship. It follow’s last year’s excellent “Soshy”, and suggests plenty more goodness to come.

“This song has been haunting us for eight straight years so we’re very glad to let it be heard,” says vocalist and songwriter Megan James. “We hope it brings you as much joy as it has now brought us. Thank you for listening and please enjoy the beautiful music video about human cells.”

Around the time of the EP release, Purity Ring will embark on a massive summer tour of North America. They snake their way into our corner of the country with a June 22 date at Boston’s Big Night Live; and a June 24 twirl at College Street Music Hall in New Haven, Connecticut.

Watch the music video, as James suggests, and scan all the dates below.
