If there was ever a scenario where Bill Burr still had to prove just how potent of a comedian he is while also having to prove how strong his Boston roots still are, he’s about to do it. Come this summer, you can call him Billy BoSox.

As announced today (April 18), the Canton native, Boston sports enthusiast and stand-up comedy legend is readying a takeover of Fenway Park on August 21. Not only will it be Burr’s first show at America’s most beloved ballpark, but it will also be the first time a comedian has ever headlined the stadium and national landmark.

Prior to this historic occasion, Burr has cemented his legacy all over the city of Boston in terms of selling out rooms over the years, including his legendary 19-show run at The Wilbur in 2015, and most recently, his nearly sold-out effort at TD Garden in October 2018 and impromptu late-night set at Laugh Boston in November 2019.

Tickets for this historic show can be accessed via presale starting on Wednesday (April 20) using the code BURR before they go on sale to the public on Friday (April 22) at 10 a.m. EDT.
