Enter Mic’d Up, our ongoing weekly series that details the best live comedy shows to consider as you head out and about. Below find our rundown for this week, through Sunday (April 10).

Andy Haynes at Laugh Boston

Not long separated from his latest album, The Coward of Gramercy, Haynes has a new batch of material ready to launch, fueled by an even-keeled demeanor and self-deprivation. With a wildly enticing knack for top-notch verbal illustration, Haynes is riding high on comedic force, so don’t miss out on this one-night engagement.

Tuesday, April 5 at Laugh Boston, 425 Summer St. in Boston :: 8 p.m. :: Tickets are $20

He may be known as “Big Baby” from his days on the court, but on the stand-up stage, Glen Davis is the man of the hour. Catch this unique behind the scenes glimpse into the glamourous, and not-so-glamorous moments lived by one of the most recognizable personalities in Boston sports.

Thursday, April 7 at Off Cabot Comedy Club, 9 Wallis St. in Beverly, MA :: 8 p.m. ::  Tickets are $35 to $50

James ‘Murr’ Murray at The Wilbur

There’s nobody hidden offstage feeding the funny for this one. Steve Gillespie at White Bull Tavern

Gillespie’s slow-burn approach leads to quick-draw punchlines as he all-too-willingly digs into himself with reckless abandon, much to the amusement of crowds all over the country. Whether it be in a comedy club or a TV studio, Gillespie knows what works and he’s willing to sacrifice much of himself to deliver.
