Re-make, re-model, re-issue, and re-form. Then head out on tour: Roxy Music are coming to town.
The iconic and influential English rock band have today (March 28) unveiled a September North American tour to celebrate the 50th anniversary of their legendary debut album, a timeless force in the worlds of music, fashion and art. Included in the 10 dates is a September 17 appearance at TD Garden in Boston; tickets to that show and all shows go on sale April 4 at 10 a.m. EDT.
St. Vincent is on board as opener for nine of the North American dates, all except Boston. Cue up “Would You Believe?”.
This forthcoming tour marks Roxy Music’s first in 11 years, and first in America since 2002. The band will boast a lineup of Bryan Ferry, Andy Mackay, Phil Manzanera, and Paul Thompson — two years removed from their Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction.
As we await these live performances, Roxy Music’s eight studio albums, are set to be reissued as special anniversary editions with a new half-speed cut, revised artwork, and a deluxe gloss laminated finish.
