Franz Ferdinand have just released a greatest hits album, and that’s a pretty curious thing, because pretty much every Franz Ferdinand song is amongst the greatest of hits. But this 20-track collection, appropriately titled Hits To The Head and completed by two new songs, wonderfully shows off just how much we’ve been dancing to the Scottish indie band over the past 18 years. And now Alex Kapranos and the crew are bringing the live dance party to select cities across North America for their first stateside tour in four years. There’s a Boston date — August 15 at House of Blues — as well as plenty of road-trip destinations across its 20 shows, including gigs in Montreal and New York City. General ticket on-sale begins Friday (March 18) at 10 a.m. local time; get all the dates below, and fire up the playlist to dance once again, like you were young.
