We've got a bit of music festival fever here at Vanyaland, and the hits keep on coming. This week we're treated to the lineup for Solid Sound 2022, Wilco's celebrated gathering at MASS MoCA in North Adams. This year's fest goes down May 27 to 29 and stars multiple headlining sets by Wilco, as well as appearances by Sylvan Esso, Japanese Breakfast, Bonnie ‘Prince’ Billy, Iceage, Cut Worms, mike watt + the missingmen, the Sun Ra Arkestra, and several others. John Hodgman's Comedy Cabaret will be co-hosted with Jean Grae and feature Negin Farsad, River Butcher, and Nick Offerman. Get the full lineup below.
The Western Mass contemporary art gallery and museum setting of Solid Sound is usually as relevant as the performers, and this year the MASS MoCA offerings include live falconry, star gazing workshops, and axe throwing, plus the venue's long-term installations by James Turrell, Laurie Anderson, Sol LeWitt, Jenny Holzer, and Anselm Kiefer.
