Editor's Note: Cousin Stizz came, Cousin Stizz saw, Cousin Stizz conquered. A little less than a year after being named the 2018 Boston Music Awards' Artist of the Year at The House of Blues, the Dorchester rapper once again secured top-billing at the Lansdowne Street venue with a fiery Thanksgiving Eve performance this past Wednesday night (November 27). Stizz is again nominated for a handful of '19 BMAs, including Artist of the Year and Album of the Year (for August's Trying To Find My Next Thrill), and wasted little time Wednesday showing why he's the undisputed face of the Boston music scene. This show was also about "the next", as well, as Stizz welcomed familiar faces SuperSmashBroz and white-hot Brockton collective Van Buren to get it all started. The Van Buren crew of Meech, Luke Bar$, Lord Felix, Saint Lyor, Jiles and others are no strangers to our digital ink, and are poised for a major breakthrough in 2020. Vanyaland's Emily Gardner was in the room to capture visuals of everything, and you can scan through her full gallery below, in reverse order of appearance.
