Photo Gallery: Steel Panther live at Boston’s House of Blues

Editor’s Note: The sleazy dream of the ’80s Sunset Strip is alive and well, decades after its heyday. It’s alive when Faster Pussycat play New Bedford; it’s alive when L.A. Guns play Malden. And it’s thriving, in a parody form par for the hair metal course, when Steel Panther play Boston’s House of Blues. Such was the case Sunday night (November 24), when the Los Angeles glam band brought the Strip to Lansdowne Street. The party was so wild, the spandex so tight, the hair so high, that even Extreme’s Pat Badger made a cameo, adding some bass to a Kinks classic and performing his very own “hair solo”. The packed house licked it all up, and Vanyaland’s María Alejandra Mata was up close capturing visuals. Scan through her full gallery below.
