We don’t need no damn mayoral declaration: Today is Charli XCX Day in Boston. Vanyaland is declaring it, you are declaring it, and we’re sure somewhere in town, Charlotte Emma Aitchison herself is declaring it.
We’ve been sweet on the undisputed queen of alt-pop since we launched this digital magazine, and so our excitement is maxed out over Charli XCX’s appearance tonight (October 17) at an almost-sold-out House of Blues (get the last batch of remaining tickets here).
Adding to our XCX-session, Charli’s also making an appearance over at Newbury Comics’ flagship store on Newbury Street this afternoon, meeting and greeting those who purchased her new album Charli via the local retailer’s online shop.
Between that and the HOB gig this evening, it’s a damn holiday in our books. Catch up on Charli’s latest below, and revisit Victoria Wasylak’s breakdown of Charli here and after the jump.
