This summer, Black Beach have got a wriggling and writhing live one snaking through their hands. Winding up for their new record Tapeworm, which drops October 11, the Boston grunge band has shared their new single “Sometimes This Body Lets Me Down” (perhaps the best song title on the record, a close rival of “It Feels Nice To Just Care About Anything At All”). In a world of rigid, stiff-upper-lip-snarling hardcore, this new track creeps and crawls on the pre-chorus, fluid despite its ragged rhythms. It’s an impressive two-minute contradiction, courtesy of Boston’s kings of all music at breakneck speeds. Unleash the beast below.
