Photo Gallery: Shallow Pools and CD Rose live at Hojoko

Editor’s Note: All through the summer the Boston Music Awards have been teaming up independent New England publications for its “Off The Record” series at Hojoko, where emerging artists perform live outdoors by the pool. When it was our time to party, we knew exactly what band we wanted to celebrate with: Boston alt-rock trio Shallow Pools. Get it? Shallow Pools by a shallow pool? Well, this past Friday (August 9) was a good time indeed, as the band blasted through a quick set of fiery pop-leaning guitar-rock that wouldn’t have sounded out of place on stage at Royale or the Paradise. The BMAs featured artist for the evening was rising alt-pop and R&B singer CD Rose, who is a participant in the BMAs’ ongoing 617Sessions series. Vanyaland’s Emily Gardner was at Hojoko under the open skies to capture some visuals, and you can scan through her gallery below.
