While shlepping in between the blue, red, and green stages this weekend at Boston Calling, it might be prudent to time your Newbury Comics crate digging wisely. As the record store returns to BosCall with a pop-up shop on the Harvard Athletic Complex, their tent will also host artist signings from festival performers at various points throughout the weekend.
Bear Hands kick things off and stop by at 5:30 p.m. this evening (May 24) as the sole Friday artist making an appearance.
Pile (2:30 p.m.), Denzel Curry (3:30 p.m.) and Dessa (9:30 p.m.) will be at the tent tomorrow (Saturday, May 25) for autographs, while Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever (3:30 p.m.) and Snail Mail (5:00 p.m.) roll up to the pop-up store on Sunday (May 26).
Newbs will also be selling exclusive pressings of records from select Boston Calling 2019 artists, including Mitski, Big Red Machine, Anderson .Paak, Lord Huron, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever, and Snail Mail.
“Fostering connections between fans and the artists they love is top of my to-do list at NC, and there aren’t many better ways to do that than through events like these,” says Carl Mello, Director of Home Entertainment Merchandising at Newbury Comics. “Come say ‘Hi!’ and make some damn memories!
