Ladytron announce U.S. live shows, including Boston date

UGStrategies

The return and resurgence of Ladytron is one of the best subplots of 2019. Back in February the influential electronic-pop group released their sixth album, a dystopian-themed self-titled affair that not only served as the follow-up to 2011’s Gravity The Seducer, but also a call-back to the band’s early-’00s relevance.

Tracks like “The Island” and “The Animals” displayed both an urgency and confidence not seen from the Liverpool quartet in more than a decade, and now, select cities in the northeastern part of North America will hear these songs live for the first time.

Ladytron today (April 9) announced a series of live dates across Europe, Russia, and North America, and included in the batch closest to us are an October 2 stop at New York’s Brooklyn Steel; an October 3 show at Boston’s Royale, an October 4 date at Society des Arts Technologiques in Montreal, and an October 5 dance at Toronto’s Danforth Music Hall.

Tickets for the Boston date are priced at $32.50 in advance and $35 at doors, and go on sale this Friday (April 12) at 10 a.m.
