This summer, Dinosaur Jr. want to take you to camp — rock camp.
The Massachusetts band has announced details on Camp Fuzz, a three-day get-away that will feature everything from workshops to session performances to Q&A sessions, all led by J Mascis, Murph, and Lou Barlow. It all goes down at the Full Moon Resort at New York State’s Catskill Forest Reserve from July 30 to August 2.
Here’s the full descriotion: “Camp Fuzz with Dinosaur Jr. is an all-inclusive adventure that features master classes, Q&A sessions, performances, arts and crafts, and more. Fans of Dinosaur Jr. will get an intimate look at the workings of the band. Interact with the band and crew, enjoy unique experiences, sessions, workshops, and activities lead by the band and their friends in a beautiful mountain retreat.”
Initial programming topics include:
– Pedals with J Mascis
– Guitar style with J Mascis
– 4-string guitar & ukulele clinic with Lou
– Performances from Dinosaur Jr.
– Solo performances from J Mascis & Lou Barlow
– Drum workshops with Murph and Special Guests
Prices range from $999 for tent camping and commuters (“Your tuition includes all camp activities, meals & non-alcoholic beverages. Camping equipment is not provided.”) to up to $2,999 for a Premium Cottage with a private room and private bath (“Premium cottages which feature a king bed, sitting area with couch, private deck, air conditioning, mini-fridge, coffee maker, Smart TV, WiFi, cell service (AT&T and Verizon) and custom tile bathroom with over-sized, dual head shower and radiant heat.”).
