Studio 52 Spotlight: Saccharine

What Studio 52 Says: Indie-acoustic act Saccharine is the brain child of former Maura member Kevin Patrick King. His newest release, Hollow Space, officially dropping today on Disposable America, is nothing short of a finely tuned perfection of his craft. The album is brimming with beautiful, haunting vocals and ethereal acoustic guitar work. Slow and careful melodies entwine the songs and really instill each emotion King is invoking. Every so often, the songs lean into a full-band effort that change the pace of the track and give the rhythm the extra bump it’s asking for. With song titles like “Pumpkin Guts” and “The Underside of Leaves,” the record is a perfect companion for the approaching autumn weather. King wants to celebrate the release of Hollow Space with all of us Thursday (October 4) at O’Brien’s Pub in Allston with Alexander, Bedbug, Kelsey Rose Francis, and ComCo. Make sure to stop by and pick up a copy and immediately add it your fall playlist. — Andrew Maroney, Studio 52
