Say Lou Lou take it to Joshua Tree in video for ‘Golden Child’

We’ve been hanging on the delectable alt-pop sounds of Say Lou Lou for quite some time now, and the twin-sister duo of Miranda and Elektra Kilbey rarely disappoint. They’re back today (September 4) with a video for vibrant new single “Golden Child,” filmed over five days partially at Joshua Tree National Park with directors Laura Gorun and Dimitri Basil. “A dream like narrative about false ideas of freedom — how we are frozen in the roles we are dealt like self-imposed statues, imitated, constructed and systematically kept in our place,” the duo state of the clip. “Can we break the chain if we don’t see it?” That question and others are explored on Immortelle, Say Lou Lou’s new album and the long-awaited follow-up to 2015’s Lucid Dreaming. The new LP hits September 21 via à Deux. Say Lou Lou will be showing off songs from the album November 28 at the Moroccan Lounge in Los Angeles and then November 30 at Brooklyn’s Park Church Co-op. Hopefully we’ll get some Boston love in the New Year as well. Featured image via High Rise.
