We love the Toronto International Film Festival (referred to from here on out as TIFF) about as much as one can possibly love a Film Festival — who doesn’t love a good ol’ cup of Tim Hortons, eh? — and they always have an amazing line-up.
This year is no exception, and it might honestly be one of the craziest years in recent memory: we have new films from Steve McQueen, Barry Jenkins, Claire Denis, Asghar Farhadi, Damien Chazelle, Nicole Holofcener, Oliver Assayas, David Lowery and many, many more. We’ve got the first wave of Gala and Special Presentation titles below for your browsing pleasure, with a few links to some coverage we’ve given some of these titles in the past, be it a trailer or, in a few cases, reviews from other festivals.
