Muse are back today (July 19) with a new single called “Something Human,” and our human ears feel like we’ve heard it before. Oh yeah, because it sounds a whole lot like Erasure’s “A Little Respect.” Maybe it’s a nod, maybe it’s unintentional, maybe it’s just what Andy Bell was asking for all along. The track was co-produced by the band and Rich Costey and mixed by Mark ‘Spike’ Stent, and here’s what Matt Bellamy has to say about it: “Life on the road can bring out your inner beast, this song… is about taming that beast, desiring a return to something human.” There’s a new Muse record coming this fall, so we have that to look forward to as well.
