There’s been a lot of excitement over Nine Inch Nails lately; a new six-track “album”, Bad Witch, arrives this Friday (June 22) and their Cold And Black And Infinite tour with The Jesus & Mary Chain (!!!) lands at The Boch Center in Boston on October 19 and 20 after a lively on-sale event which forced fans to actually go to the venue to buy physical (you’re so) tickets. But nothing gets our NIN juices worked up quite like a well-timed cover, and the other night at The Joint in Las Vegas, Trent and the boys debuted their version of Joy Division’s “Digital.” This is exciting on several levels, mainly for this spirited selection and how well it translates to the NIN experience, but also because most of us grew up with Nine Inch Nails’ legendary cover of Joy Division’s “Dead Souls” for The Crow soundtrack. Feel it closing in and watch fan-filmed video of the performance below. Featured image via miyan9 screengrab.
