The early months of a new year are filled with spring and summer tour announcements, all designed to a) assure you that winter will soon be over and b) good times are on the not-so-distant horizon. But with all these tour bulletins, how does one stand out? By aligning the news with a visually appealing tour poster.
That’s what Real Estate have done, and we are all about it.
The New Jersey indie rock band have announced a 10-date spring swing that caps locally with a June 15 appearance at The Columbus Theatre in Providence, and to show off all the dates, have enlisted the talents of Chicago-based illustrator Clay Hickson in designing the tour poster. We’re getting some fantastic ’70s-era Electric Company vibes off the aesthetic, and we just might print this fucker out and hang it in the newsroom somewhere.
Anyway, tickets to all shows, including the Providence date, go on sale this Friday (March 30) at 10 a.m. local time. Featured band photo via Facebook.
