New Sounds: Miss Geo enlist Big Time Kill to add a darker spark to their dancefloor

Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

We’re pretty big fans of both spaced-aged electro-pop trio Miss Geo and ballistic synth-rock duo Big Time Kill, so when the two Boston projects come together to rule a dance floor as one, we instantly perk up.

That’s what’s at play today (June 29) as Big Time Kill takes Miss Geo’s 2016 track “Unraveled Thoughts” on an intergalactic romp through a glistening otherworld, where beats and treats rum rampant across a black strobe. Miss Geo’s loose, fluttering harmonies work nicely here with the gravitational pull of Big Time Kill’s musical ferocity.

This new joint keeps Miss Geo on a bit of a remix kick, as the Big Time Kill effort follows up a recent DJ Die Young track that dropped earlier this month.

We’re not sure if Miss Geo have any live appearances coming up, but those in the Providence area can catch Big Time Kill deliver their murder beats at Goth-Ick/Unscene Productions’ Interface and Panic Left show July 15 at Firehouse 13. Downcity Armory, Mari Kattman and DJs Sawtooth, Nick Castle, and Atrox & EviLiz round out that bill. Deets on the flyer after the jump.
