There weren’t many pleasant surprises in 2016, but one was certainly the triumphant and unexpected return of actual Guns N’ Roses. The “classic lineup” reunion saw Axl Rose, Slash, and Duff McKagan come together — sans Izzy Stradlin and Steven Adler — for the Not In The Lifetime tour, a global run that hushed many a skeptic and provided a jolt of pure rock in roll into a barren musical landscape.
Guns N’ Roses’ two shows at Gillette Stadium last summer were pretty fucking killer, and now the dudes return to Massachusetts for an October 22 show at TD Garden.
Nightrain and VIP pre-sale begin today at 10 a.m., while public on-sale starts June 3. Get all that info here.
The Boston date is part of an extended North American run that finds the band playing Philly, NYC, Toronto, Detroit, and elsewhere across the continent.
No openers have been announced for the autumn run just yet, but the band’s summer itinerary takes along some notable names, including Deftones, ZZ Top, Royal Blood, Sturgill Simpson, Live, and Our Lady Peace (Our Lady Peace?!?!).
Lenny Kravitz opened the two Gillette gigs last summer. Read our review of the show, and watch some video from it, here.
