What Studio 52 Says: Crushing psychedelic riffs and vocal melodies together with the ruthlessness of punk and hints of garage rock, Zip-Tie Handcuffs distort genres by creating their own blend of ferocious noise. Their latest full-length, 2016’s Headspace, is an impressive 16-track display of their raw power. Their live shows hit you with a blast of energy from start to finish, and their sound is so unrelenting you forget they’re only a trio. It’s no wonder to us they took the crown at the 2015 Rock And Roll Rumble. They’re gearing up to hit the stage this Wednesday (May 10) at O’Brien’s Pub in Allston on a bill with The Mad Doctors, Future Spa, and good friends of ours and recent Studio 52 Featured Band, the one and only Idiot Genes.
