Studio 52 is a community artist space located in the heart of Allston, and is proud to support the Boston music scene and local artist community.

The 2017 Lollapalooza lineup is out, and unlike a lot of other big-ticket summer music festivals, this one has some solid Massachusetts representation. Jumping out on the massive four-day August 3 to 6 mega-fest at Chicago’s Grant Park are appearances by guitar-rock trio Lady Pills and rapper Michael Christmas. The two homegrown artists, coincidentally, played Boston Calling last year, and both play Lolla on Saturday, August 5.

Also repping the Bay State at Lollapalooza are Cobi, who once fronted Gentleman Hall, and Cape Cod-born Grammy-nominated pop group Highly Suspect.

Lady Pills, who played our SXSW Boston & Beyond party with Berklee last year, released their debut album Despite over the summer on Babe City Records and were nominated for New Artist of the Year in the 2016 Boston Music Awards. Michael Christmas, meanwhile, has developed a cult following around the world, was nominated for two ’16 BMAs (Artist of the Year and Hip-Hop Artist of the Year) and is about to head out on the Pigeons & Planes No Ceilings tour. Both performed live at the December BMAs as well.

The overall Lolla lineup, as expected, is massive, far beyond headliners Muse, The Killers, Chance The Rapper, and Arcade Fire, so scan the whole thing via the poster below. Four-day Lolla passes sold out ahead of the lineup reveal, and single-day tickets are on sale today.
